+143 MLB dog that may bark this afternoon
    Reds +143 over Dodgers.

Like this spot play this afternoon.

Handicapping this game outside the box some, as both starters pretty much blow.
What makes me really like the Reds is the starter for the Dodgers (Ryu) has unbelievable horrid splits pitching to left handed hitters.

Ryu throws left handed, these are known as reverse splits.

This number is mind boggling, Ryu gives up a homer every 12 at bats to left handed batters.
Lefties are hitting .339 against Ryu. The on-base percentage is .409, or 4 out of every 10 left handed batters reach first or beyond. The OPS is in the four figures, an astronomical 1.037

What the Reds do better than almost every other baseball team is hit homeruns.
They have 95 total (fourth best in the league)
The Reds are tied for first with 26 homers off of left handed pitchers.
Remember Ryu loves to serve them up to LH batters.
Reds are starting four ledt handed hitters today, Hamilton bats switch, he's a speed merchant he probably won't pop one, Votto has mad power, he has 19 homers and bats left. Duvall bats left and he has 15 homers, Schebler has 18 homers and he hits left.

Versus LH pitching Votto has 7 homers and bats .293, Schebler bats .323 and has 5 homers versus left handed pitching. Duvall bats .315 and has 5 homers versus left handed pitchers.

Reds are home and that park is a launching pad.
Oh by the way, the righties love to hit left handed pitching too, Cozart hits .370 versus left handed pitching, Suarez .313

On paper (I know the games are played on grass) Reds have the potential to score 12 runs. On paper that is.

The above reasons is why I like the Reds in this spot.
Having said that, Reds starter (Wojo) is no great shakes either, and right handed bats can touch him up.

The bet is the Reds getting +143 will outslug the Dodgers.

It's not guaranteed, Ryu has thrown some nice games in the past, and Wojo could suck worse than Ryu.

I got a 100 to win 143 that says Reds out smack the Dodgers.
Oh by the way, in case you are wondering, the total is priced like a Coors game, 10.5 runs with the over being juiced to the beejeesus at -120. Should go way over, but I'll take the +143 rather than lay the -120.
The + sign is your friend.

You like offense, this one has the potential to be a fireworks exhibition.

I was thinking but the Dodgers have the bats and have been coming from behind plenty of times.

There's two in the Dodger line up that scare me, Grandal and Bellinger.
I see Dave Roberts loaded up the lineup with left handed hitters.
            Interesting.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this game plays out.

                    I resemble that remark.

                    1-1 after 1
This, like I suspected is going to be a long, long game.

25 pitch first inning for Ryu.
This ump is very liberal, he's pretty much telling the batters to swing the lumber.

dodgers just don't lose.. its bizarre knowing they won't build on this.. first chance they catch some anxiety in the playoffs, they'll fold up like some damn lawn chairs.

welp, its so hard finding spots for bad teams to win

its so hard betting favorites and watching all your money diminish on 1 loss

                          baseball, crazy

Dodgers are playing well right now, bats are clicking and they are scoring runs.. Not a good idea to bet against them...

Now another California team maybe worth fading at +odds today is the Angels.. They're struggling a bit to score runs with Trout out, KC playing well and on a winning streak. Game coming up later today....
