You can buy a coin at pennies that is going to dominate still in 5 years. I'm in this thread because I met a guy at my gym who invested in ETH at pennies and is a millionaire now. He didn't fukk with all these bs ones that much, he hit ETH hard because understood the tech and knew it would be around a couple years after his investment. Now look. That's what I'm trying to do too. I don't have time to day trade or watch all the dips 24/7, but if you can do that, more power to you. It's tough but you can do it if you have the time and willpower, same as any other trade.

I'm hoping to get some great info from this thread that's going to help me make a sizable bet on a penny company and I want to keep it for a couple years.

Anyone who invested in crypto 2 years ago is probably a millionaire now. Doesn't matter what they bought.

I don't want to call the top... but it could 10x from where I got in (1.25) which would be 6x from where we are right now.. nothings certain, although I'm awfully conservative with any estimation.. I also don't invest in anything I don't want to hold for less than a year because I hate short term capital gains tax.

Now the thing here is, the market cap is so small that if it gets the kind of money behind it and becomes a top 50 coin, it could sky rocket. But the double edged sword here is that since again the market cap is relatively small, it could pull back significantly at any given point with a big market correction. I just feel confident enough in the concept but more importantly, the people behind it.

Gotcha. After getting my feet wet I'm cleaning up my portfolio a little. Still have some "action" coins as they say, otherwise consolidating into some longer term holds. Wish I'd have moved xrp when it was over $3. Can't complain, profit is profit. Took a small position (ast), thanks for the info.

I think it’ll still grow quite a bit, but I think predictions for 18’ should be lowered. I think when ”experts” were predicting 60k+ in 18’ I don’t think they were accounting for this huge boom in alt coins which is taking much of the market cap that people were using for btc in their predictions. New people into the space are seeing more potential ROI with other coins. I think

Good post. What's interesting now is that when BTC does hit an even number like 17k or 18k... crazy sell offs occur. It shoots back down. Happened 3 times already. I mean... the big boys with several BTC's to play with know when to sell.... and buy again. You could make 1k here and there just on the right trade.... and get the same amount of BTC's back again. Damn. Talk about smart money. Wish I had the luxury to do that.

I feel like these red stretches have become increasingly easier to predict, look at the history of this forum, the stretches where everything went crazy green and we’re all in here cheering about how great each coin is has been followed by shit days like this.

The good and bad stretches have lasted about the same length of time (assuming today is the worst day this time around)

Here’s the question, if this pattern holds, what is the safest coin to store your money in to ride stretches like this out? If I’m two weeks we have a 4 day insane stretch and you feel a stretch of red coming, what do people here feel is the safest way to keep profits and minimize losses?

Leave it alone? Eth? Btc? Coinbase and Gemini let you exchange into usd, unless you were smart enough to predict eth this time around usd would’ve been the best route with btc taking a dump with the Alts. What are people’s stratefies with these? I guess dollar cost averaging and just buying more on these dips for each of your strong holdings should also be added as a solid option-which is what I’ve done this time
