Biggie - Cryptopia can't keep up with the volume. Their database is overloaded. All of these exchanges are trying to scale up their systems. They can't do it fast enough. The money is coming in boatloads and the transactions are exploding. Not one exchange has been able to handle the momentum. How many times do you see CB halt deposits because of congestion?

You'll eventually be able to make transfers but you're going to have to wait. We're going to see this more and more with these exchanges as more people get involved. These next few months are going to see some crazy growing pains. Put your coins in paper wallets if you need immediate control/access.

I hear you. I have a shitload of money in Binance and Bittrex. I don't even know where their offices are located. LOL. I should at least fly down to both and check out their layouts because this shit is getting serious. I keep saying that I need to offload a bunch to paper wallets, so that I can at least sleep easier but I've been moving in and out a lot of alt coins and these give me the best flexibility. I just pray we don't have another Mt. Gox scandal. That would really hit hard right now. Common sense tells me that we have to offload a bit to paper/desktop wallets. All my BTC's are offline. My goal was to build up a sizable position in 10 other coins to do the same but I'm not there yet.

I just opened an account at HitBTC on Friday. I transferred $100 of Dogecoin that took 10 minutes to confirm. It's already up to $120, haha. I sent them an email with my information to get verified but I'm still unverified (probably may take a few days or weeks) but it looks like I can send the coin somewhere else, so I don't think you should be limited depositing or sending. maybe try again or use another coin.

It's a smart move. Accounts at these exchanges are at a premium. Having an account at private exchanges that don't share your info with everyone is going to be a very high premium. Being able to be anonymous on several exchanges is also very important right now. Being able to clean your coin so that it's not traceable will be at a premium too. This is the time to get it together.

Hmm I have a KuoCoin, Binance, Coinbase, and now a HitBTC account.

I'm at 14 exchanges, 9 are verified and I have multiple accounts at 4. Most of my coins were initially bought from CB and Bitstamp then moved to other exchanges. I've never moved cash back to CB or Bitstamp. I've moved coins to books and to places like Overstock.com to buy stuff. If you move money back to Coinbase and out to your accounts, you better keep track because you're going to pay capital gains. Move your coins through Monero and Zcash at least once and your coins should be clean.

You can do everything at binance without verifying really anything. So I’d imagine you’d just have to give login info and they change it to what they want it to be. I don’t recall giving them any of my information besides the basic stuff didn’t send any documentation etc and trade thousands on there a day

I don't think the accounts are verified. They are just already registered. I think Binance has temporarily suspended new sign ups. They are still verifying accounts. So you're buying the account (that has no money in it nor is it verified) and then you just transfer the email address and verify it as follows...

In order to change the E-mail address tied to your Binance account, please upload the following information into a new support ticket:
1. Your current Binance account E-mail address and the new E-mail address you wish to use; and
2. Three pieces of ID documentation below:

• Photo of the Front side of your Government issued photo ID or Passport Cover.
• Photo of the Back side of your Government issued photo ID or Passport personal page.
• A Selfie Photo with the Front side of your Government issued photo ID or Passport personal page open, together with a handwritten note that includes your new proposed E-mail address, the current time and date (month,day,year), as well as a written “Binance”.

Please note that should your E-mail change request be successful, we will suspend withdrawals from your account for 120 hours, as a safety measure for the protection of your account.
You then have a Binance account that you can fund immediately. You'll have to wait 5 days to withdraw but that shouldn't be a problem for most people. I wish I would have registered 100 accounts. $200 a pop... Geez.

I'm pretty sure you have to send identification to get verified at Binance. I think I had to hold up my drivers license and take a picture. I see a guy that setup 400 accounts and is selling them for $40 a piece. Damn, why didn't I think about that???

I'm doing it for arbitrage purposes. But like others said. Many exchanges allow you to create an account without verifying it. Usually the verification is needed when you want to increase your withdrawal limits.

I would never buy an account for someone selling it. They could easily find out that you werent the person who initially created the account and shut the account down.

I've been discussing this with a lot of people. I don't think there is a clear answer. Even CPAs will give you varying answers. If it were me I would buy real estate with it.

I'd be very careful buying an expensive piece of property with coins. That would be a huge red flag to the IRS if you buy a $2 million dollar house with BTC on a $50k salary. "Where did you get the money from"? Better off paying capital gains and sleeping at night.

Now, buying a stove, fridge, TV, laptops on websites can be done all day long. Converting it to cash can be a challenge but not if you're studious.
