#43The Federal Reserve will eventually crush bitcoin
governments have to protect their currencies
right now it's still an infatuation and ppl like it for all the wrong reasons.
they are all, by definition, worthless and non-existent.
of course it may go to 10,000 before being taken out but eventually
there can be no future for currencies that are not backed by a govt.
For some reason they are allowing it to happen right now and I surmise
that is because they want a cashless society where everyone is tracked.Comment -

#50Yes that sucks. Make you jump through hoops a bit, you gotta go through a bunch of verification steps then wait a certain amount of days before your limit will increase.Comment -

Now, monero, only use i see for this coin is to be strictly anonymous. i see there's going to be potential there for privacy that others can't bring by design. i don't feel to good about some shadow currencies or the ethics on that board though.
Zcash partnering with jpmorgan is a interesting development. The price looks inflated because of hype but after it settles, could be a good coin to hold and watch grow.
Theres different coins with different partners, capabilities, and design.
Some say bitcoin might go back to 1800 or so... coins are so high, even if it did, it would still be on a pretty big up swing overall
i like litecoin still at $28Comment -

#58By just try to stop paper wallets. I would love to see a guy arrested for bringing a paper wallet crossing the border that hada million dollars on it. As a matter of fact you could send it to an email and just open it up overseas bam u by passed the banks and the goverments of the world. This stuff even beats ** by along shot.Either ** eventually gets into the crypto business or it will probably dies out.Comment -

#59i don't know anything killex, im pretty new... i just observe in a general way. What i do know is the guy lee who is running litecoin spent 6 years at google then went to coinbase and is affiliated with btc. They say it's like a bitcoin 2.0 that has went through segwit already and has dealt with the turbulence. The coin has been around for a while but now a big exchange like coinbase. There is a lot more of these coins then bitcoin i think 82m and only 20% has been mined...
for being a bitcoin 2.0 ... and talks of steady progress. $28 just seems like a bargain, win or lose... that price is worth a shot for a few bucks that i don't mind losing instead of walking into a casino or vegas window with it.
Oh yea, it doesn't take as long for litecoin transactions as it does for btc, bitcoin=10min litecoin=2min ... different blockchains as well.. sounds like a coin that will move...

#62yea, a MIT guy .. i say he's " running it " because he said himself that he's not running a dictatorship.. that's another good thing, the creator is there to answer and fulfill what's necessary to make this successful. Where as bitcoins guy is a mysterious figure ... that left a good example.Last edited by brainfreeze; 06-15-17, 11:44 PM.Comment -

#63so everybody is wanting to get into crypto currency lately, looking to open a discussion
everybody knows about BitCoin and Ethereium the top 2 coins right now on the market
BTC is declining rapidly this week so im looking to buy in this dump and hold until it 2-3x in value
i see ETH becoming huge in the future and will also invest on that hoping it 5-10x in value
the main thing i wanna get into is alt currencies, some ones im currently looking into are Golem, Ardor, Siacoin and Lisk and hope one blows up....
thinking right now 50% btc, 30% ETH, 20% into alt currencies
lets open some discussions / debate/ help/ strategies
Another coin I really like is Aragon.
My main strategy is to stick with Ethereum based asset coins (BAT, Golem, Aragon). Of course we will need to to see what this much hyped EOS coin does to the ETH markets.Last edited by Memento; 06-16-17, 12:52 PM.Comment -

Did you send the BTC from Coinbase to Poloniex? You have to move the Bitcoin there first before you can buy the alt coins using the exchange.
Do you have an account set up at Poloniex?Comment -

#68I know a lot of people are high on Siacoin...frankly I am big on Basic Attention Coin (BAT). Obviously I didn't get in on the ICO but I did buy a lot the past week at 16-18 cents a pop. I think this gets moving quickly once it is picked up on Poloniex.

ripple kind of defeats the purpose and they will hold and manipulate all the coins...
eth alts are interesting to look at as well with these smart contracts ...
and litecoin has been structured to succeed .. and as more partnerships develop, up, up and away..
im thinking long term and which of these techs will bring good change that is necessary in the world..Comment
