Does anyone with more soccer experience than my own Canadian self know how yellow cards / red cards work on last weekend, 'meaningless' games like this one? (For God's sake soccer, get some playoffs!)

The line's artificially low at 3, with a pretty cardsy ref, but I'm wondering if these worthless gms at the end are played more like friendlies than real matches.

Anybody out there know enough about soccer to enlighten this canuck? Thanks!

I play cards. This isnt the last game of the year.
Watford will still be professional, it wont be a played like a friendly. It may be more open and chelsea will be in the mood to party - but Watford wont. Its still a derby game, a weak one but still a derby.

Id say over 3.5 is more reasonable, look to see if Costa starts along with Terry - they will likely have an influence.
Theres not a lot in it, but id expect over 3.5

Thanks for your excellent reply. You'll be happy to know the cards line is actually only 2.5 or 3. GL to both of us on our OV's!

I've only just started betting cards, but I have a question maybe you can help me with: what's the effect of weather (high winds and/or rain) on cards? It seems like the slick field would cause more contact and therefore more cards, but in the only game I've watched in the rain, the ref seemed to accept that the increased contact was weather driven so cards didn't rise.

Is that the refs' general approach to bad weather or was that just too small a data set to see an 'increased cards in bad weather' effect? Thanks!

I'd be surprised if costa, hazard or Kante play at all today. Cahill is Def out. Looking at willian to be the biggest threa to score on the pitch today

Id be more worried of the lineup. You would want costa to start but Batshuayi probably will.
The ref cant ignore a yellow card foul really, they may let play on with little fouls in heavy rain- but a bad foul cant be really ignored.
i still say its a good bet regardless.

Yeah that's true but I'd think the fa cup is more important to them right now especially since the previous record holder is alrdy chelsea to begin with

But it sounds like you're not betting the OV 3 cards bet yourself? If not, what factor that I'm not seeing is keeping you away? (Like I said, I'm new to cards betting, so there's tons of stuff I might've missed). Thanks!

Any feeling on the OV/UN 3 cards bet? The ref is Mason, definitely a top half of EPL cards lister, and Watford's the top carded team in EPL, but I fear the lack of importance of the game may lead to -- ugh -- politeness.
