Do Americans have to suffer so much from gambling restrictions?
I came across this topic that describes how American players have to wait months to get withdrawals processed and once they are processed they get them by checks:

I feel so sorry for Americans who have to use cr**** bookies like these. and I have to ask you
Can you not use agents or other websites that process withdrawals instantly?

Whenever I request withdrawals from my agent (AC88) I get them processed same day virtually within minutes and it shows up in my bank account immediately if it's Monday thru Friday @ working hours (or next working day if it's weekend or too late at night) ...

And I feel that comparing such experience of getting the withdrawals you make almost instantly - against such cr**** places that take months to process withdrawals and issue them by checks - feels like something is simply not right.

Is it really that bad that Americans have no freedom to get withdrawals processed instantly?

Similarly, Predictit, a political betting website that does allow US users to deposit and bet charges hefty fees and also takes a very long time to process withdrawals (according to Reddit threads).

So what's going on? Why nobody is doing something about this or finding a loophole to allow US users to gamble and get their money within a reasonable time frame ?

they are finding loopholes, its called bitcoin

the problem is the us government is very strict in enforcing this specific law, and sportsbooks that accept us customers get their web addresses and bank accounts seized, and owners get put in jail

now with bitcoin becoming popular, us citizens can create anonymous accounts at online sportsbooks which has expanded their options, but even so, there are sportbooks, inclucing ac88 i believe, that still dont accept us ips because they dont want to deal with the us government

but i guess thats easily circumvented, americans can us vpn and bitcoin to have accounts in agents like ac88 as all that is required is an email address, which in turn means they have access to the best books in the world

ps - i am not in the us nor do i use bitcoin, so this is just how i understand things are right now, i could be wrong

It's not just Americans that have to deal with slow paying books.

Advantages of regulation is that we have some recourse but that comes at a cost, like the other threads in Sportsbook & Industry forum right now about people objecting to being asked for lots of ID, or to prove the money they have deposited is from a legal source and one fellow being asked to supply reports from other bookmakers, for some reason we aren't 100% certain of right now.

The offshore books rely on reputation a lot more and on average make decisions based on fairness more than regulated books.

Lower costs equate to less vig and ability to offer stuff like dime lines too.

The grass always looks greener from the other side of the fence.

its not only Americans, Europeans as well. There is not one single book out there that allows me to deposit withdraw money quickly and doesnt rip you off with horrible lines. Only option is going with an agent, but mostly its becoming too much of a hassle, so i do not even gamble a lot anymore. Rather blow my money trading stocks, futures, etc. ....

Guess I'm not playing at the right places. Can you give a list of the right ones. Looking to expand for the upcoming football season.

Betonline has a pretty busy poker room and takes bitcoin.

Might give it a shot to try it out. Finally got all of my funds out after several batches last year with Carbon and others so have been playing real time but no online.
