They don't have the contract rights to it, so why talk about it? Probably don't want to take the chances of pushing viewership to the games on NBC stations. Probably look at them as a racist sport anyway. Way too many white players.

The deal with the NFL to televise Monday Night Football is through 2021. After that contract expires ESPN will go back to being a backwoods cable channel like when it started out.

When it started being "self-important" is when it started going downhill. The ESPY's is a bunch of crap, an awards show for sports? Who needs that bullcrap? Then they started their own documentaries "30 for 30", which basically is a briefing on an important event in sports history. Rarely did that show ever deliver with anything new or revealing. (The one on the 85 Bears was pretty good) Then splitting into ESPN2 and all the college sports. They spread themselves too thin and never got the dominating audience they needed, now they're cutting the good writers and keeping the loud-mouth talking heads. Serves them right.

Jamele Hill needs to really go away already. Only catch her now and then but she has been annoying for years. Can't believe they gave her a show. Knew then ESPN had taken a wrong turn for their market.

Cowherd may have been smart starting the early exodus over to FS1.
