Gave some back today but the power posting has been something else. I've been able to show how and why lines move and many, many market mechanics at work in real time that pretty much everyone at SBR never knew existed.

You guys see those small white dudes at the end of the Duke bench... I bet those guys can knock down shots all day but put them on a court with 5 guys over 6 feet and they'd end up in the hospital. Ducks have a walk on named Charlie Noebel, student section pushes pretty hard for him to enter the game during blowouts. It's pretty cute.

So funny...saw this thread and a few minutes later decided to catch the end of the Oregon/RI game on tv...and sure enough there was this white kid riding the bench who was creamin his shorts every time the Ducks knocked down a 3. Gotta hand it to him though- kid's got some good moves.

I guess you could look at that and say why have this on the bench? when we have better athletes that can make our program stronger but I still say that without some kind of enthusiam/support from the bench you cannot win. You need lesser athletes to respect and support the stronger ones and the stronger ones will in turn show respect. If everyone thinks they are the best, then you never have a team.

agreed, champ, the biggest challenge coaches generally face once they bring uneducated, not givin' a shit about grades talent on campus is keeping them eligible to be on the court, gridiron, etc.....

except the swim and diving coaches, and the tennis and golf coaches.....

i think this photo is from last year's team, but me and my pet chimp and my cat could take the three guys on the end of the Jayhawk's bench in a three on three matchup....

Opie could crush em by himself....

It's a nice gig. All they really have to do is somehow dribble the ball over half court, maybe make a pass or two, and watch the last 6-8 seconds of the blowout tick off. As long as they don't trip and fall, they're successful! Nice work if you can get it!
