I pleaded with him Blue. Me and another friend was on a conference call with him as well. I explained that there was no such thing as a sure thing. He placed the bet when we were all in Vegas in September. I told him about the Auburn fan that had $50k futures against FSU and he didn't hedge but the dummy refused to hedge. My buddy said it might jinx the Falcons. WTF?

I told him at half to let me lay $200 on the Patriots -18 at +2360, that way he would at least win $4500 even if the Pat's won. He was feeling real cocky and said that the Falcons "got this".
