Too bad it's a moot point since Mayweather will never agree to anything exotic. And since McGregor is in it for the money, he'll agree to any set of rules even if his chances are slim to none.

Seriously CM could fight another contender and while the PPV money would be less he could get a larger percentage and more money overall. If someone was going to pay to see CM vs. Mayweather it's very likely they would also pay to see CM vs. Manny/Khan/Bradley

Actually I think the best rules would be how they did it in that old Jean Claude Van Damme movie, where each round had its own rules.

1st round would be boxing only with gloves

2nd round would be MMA gloves and include elbows, knees, and kicks

3rd round would be MMA rules including take downs and submissions

I expect 5% of the total purse for solving this problem

There's nothing else to consider.

McG, or any other decent mma fighter with any any footwork can last until the 2nd. Then it's over.

Royce Grace with the Gi was unfair as well.. He used his Gi sleeves to choke out a guy once..
