Only the strong will survive the season of balanced betting and bankroll management... I can't stress that enough.

On my end, changes are being made to the way we bet totals because right now it's just not working.

just started following last night and not concerned at all that it wasn't a good one.. admire the work you do and the effort you put into it.. does seem to me that you're making too many total plays as you are going at a volume 6X higher than last year.. could understand double but not that many more.. anyway hope you have a great season and thanks for sharing

First, as is customary, a season update:

YTD: 55-44; +13.85 units.

Second, a few notes on what has been going on. As I pointed out a few posts ago, I went for added volume this year, especially in the areas of totals. That has proven to become a bit of a challenge especially with total of 5. Of course, last night, we would have had a play on the Wild/Maple Leafs UNDER which miraculously stayed under with zero goals in the third. Very frustrating, but nonetheless I feel we are going to move in the right direction.

There is a level of professionalism and balance with running a thread. I vowed not to allow expectations of delivering profit to you all every night (impossible) to affect the wagers or the size of them. That is a tough vow to make but will stand by it.

Today's Plays:

Avalanche +165 1.5 UNITS - WIN

Oilers/Flyers UNDER 5.5 -110 1 UNIT - LOSS

Predators/Stars UNDER 5.5 -115 1 UNIT - LOSS

Flames/Coyotes UNDER 5 +120 1.5 UNITS - WIN

Post-Script:
Yes, 3 out of 4 plays are UNDERS tonight, which I promised a decrease in volume. LOL! Its just the way things shook out for today but i have made an adjustment to significantly reduce the volume effective immediately.

Tonight Philly scored 3 goals in 1 minute, Dallas 2 in 18 seconds and now a short handed goal off a broken stick... I mean things are just not going my way. Hopefully the yotes game stays under. What can I say.

As a finance guy I'm typically a buy-low, sell-high.... blood in the streets.. fear is good greed is bad guy...

So it's hard for me to quit the totals at the juncture. But they're certainly not doing well. I'll keep a keen watch on the situation, make adjustments, and move forward. Calgary/Arizona both have under 10 shots in the first period but both have flukey goals. Not bitching, just the situation. Definitely not feeling great about that one right now. Wel see.

Well there you have it. I played it safe on some bets that I may normally do 2 units to be conservative and I can't help but feel a bit greedy at this point.

While yes, I want to have some fun and root home some winners and curse at the TV when necessary, this is not a game to me. I put hours and hours into research and modeling and am dedicated to producing results that help me achieve my goals.

I have a dedication and an obligation and to myself and my family to turn a profit. It's a decision I made when I moved from being a $50 bettor to the bigger leagues. And I have my eyes set on even bigger things.

It is a tall task, but consistently and conservatively (as I bet) churning out 50+ units/year can lead to incredible wealth growth. And my friend, financial freedom is the goal here.
