I went with cleveland -9.5 and gsw -8.5. I think both come out strong small bets though since it is just the start of the season.

College and pro basketball are the two reasons compulsive gambling was invented and gamblers anonymous meetings are mobbed during that time of year

It's easiest because it's all black guys with enough money to have them set for life but still have ghetto mentality. Bunch of meaningless game, easy to throw. Reffs also obviously in on it, and the NBA pushed big markets and superstars hard. Very corrupt.

Donaghee's book of about 10 years ago was revealing. That LAL-SAC series from about the same era was a disgrace.

Meaningless regular season. Players resting all the time. Everyone makes the playoffs. Only 2-3 teams with a realistic shot of winning each season

Despite the unfavorable view (which I share) of the NBA, being able to have a betting opportunity on a nightly basis is a good think.
Coll hoops are good, but the innumerable (neutral court) games can be vexing as to how to cap.
Last time I checked, no Gold Sheet Hoop edition yet to be released. What are they waiting for?
Probably a lot of posters cap with that like I do. Not for picks, but for very good power ratings.
Very excited for a hopefully winning season. Lets roll fellas!

A lot of opportunities in the NBA, daily. Be patient and disciplined. Don't fall for the traps and don't let the on court drama throw you.
I'm looking forward to it. Of course, betting day 1 isn't exactly showing patience...lol...it's a long season.
Create your won prediction and compare it to the market, TOTALS will be softer without a doubt. If you know why the lines open where they do and move to where they move you will be that much closer to crushing the NBA.
Good Luck.

No love for NYK, huh? Cleveland always struggle at the start. I expect the same this season.

- The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden St Warriors may both be good bets as home favorites on Opening Night of the 2016-17 NBA regular season. SBR Videos hosts Mike Brenner and Peter Loshak present their NBA Odds Couple show for Tuesday October 25.

I always favor the road dogs +7 to +9. The home team is up double digits late then its a couple of late baskets in trash time with the starters on the bench and BOOM! Road team covers! I wouldn't do this against the Warriors or Cavs but you watch how any times this happens this year. I lost too many games to this garbage.

Already took my first bad beat of the NBA season, on opening night.
I grabbed -203 Under in the 2nd quarter, and these assholes gave it up in the final minute. Knicks give up 69 points in the 2nd half, and I still could have won it if dumbass on the Knicks just dribbles is it out instead of hoisting a 3 with 10 seconds left.
I looked it up. The Knicks, when scoring less than 19 points in the 1st quarter, had ended up under 203 32/35 times. That's a 91% chance. And it was an even a higher chance at halftime. The total on the game at that point was only 195.
