#76Just lmao at these athletes who think that protesting the national anthem will actually accomplish something.
A lot, if not most of the problems within the black community stem from themselves. Not white oppression, not discrimination, not police brutality but themselves. No other race has such a disgusting, destructive and messed up mentality abd way of thinking.
Most "police brutality" interactions with police and black people stem from black people resisting arrest after doing something wrong or committing a crime. Absolutely 0 accountability for their actions. Is there police brutality? Absolutely. However I have 0 sympathy for criminals who attack and rob others, then get justifiably gunned down or arrested by police. Taje that guy in Milwaukee. BLM is actually mad at the police for shoot a suspect who was running away with a gun? If only they'd put more time and effort into actually preventing that sorta thing from happening.
But then again nothing is the fault of black people. Blacks are always victims. 2016 is the best tine to be black in America yet the ghetto/slave mentality in a lit of black people sees them blame the white man for everything. There are countless opportunities to go to college or get a job, it's just that a lot don't make the effort. At all.
Black people are the ones oppressing themselves in a lot of scenarios. Black youths are being shot everywhere by black youths but "black on black crine is a myth". To me that's a bigger problem. 75% of black children born outta wedlock, 50% of murders committed by 13% of the population, black nales more likely to get shot or end up in prison than in college. Black people calling other black people who are successful or don't play into the victim narrative uncle toms. Maintaining the constant victim mentality instead of doing something about it.. Committing crime and blaming police officers for doing their jobs. Focusing on sporadic incidents of police brutality rather than the extremely high black crine rate... These are all internal problems that exist in the black community that are much greater than "white oppression"
Does racism and police brutality and discriminating exist? Of course, but that isn't the only problem.
These athletes have every right to protest I guess. The first amendment is very important and gives them that power. However it literally won't solve anything. It's just a bunch of overpaid pricks deluding themselves into believing that not standing up for the national anthem actually makes a difference. Funnily enough, if Curry or Kaepernick put even 5 million dollars of their own into a black community center ornrwc league etc they'd be doing a lot more for black people than they are now.
But that would require hard work and giving up your privlege.Comment -

Blame the white people for that?
I'm not here being racist at all... I'm just saying.... what is the entire point? Because for some mysterious reason... they feel like their in the backseat?
I don't care if you're white, red, black, brown, yellow... or whatever. Everyone suffers. Everyone has feelings. But don't make A HUGE ISSUE about protesting the anthem now.
This is getting ridiculous. From fukking he, she, it bathrooms.... to protesting an anthem? What is next?

2. It's a discussion board and a thread about a controversial issue. I'm giving ny opinion on it.
3. The protest will achieve literally 0 and is an example of privileged rich athletes who are so blinded by their riches and popularity that they think doing something so stupid as this is actually accomplishing something.Comment -

Some of the problems within the black community were identified in my initial post. Those issues are much more important than this so called rampant institutional racism and sporadic incidents of police brutality.
But hey, not standing up for the flag is much more important than other issues such as keeping black families together and getting young black males into college and off the streets...Comment -

#105You think Baltimore is a tough town? Oakland gangs laugh at them. If Curry were to make such a stupid move (he will not) the po-po would likely decide to call in sick for their security duty at the home games. OMG how many bodies would hit the floor? These thugs truly don't give a shit... they walk up to elected politicians on the steps of the courthouse and execute them during the daytime.Comment
