Yes, I truly believe that betting on soccer is bad idea, unless it's a large event like World or Euro Cup. Baseball is way easier, let alone Football and Basketball. I never bet NHL, so I can't tell.

I can work with sports to which the law of large numbers can (at least to some extent) apply, like basketball, football and baseball. Soccer and hockey is too low scoring for me, I don't know how to win in these sports

I have bet on every sport there is. Baseball is at the bottom in profitability in my list. But not just me it is known among the sharps aswell. Just look at it from live betting perspective. there is almost no angles or momentum in baseball. While in other sports you can most of the time get an angle with fatigue, strategy, pace of game etc.
