How about the fact they play 82 games, then 3 rounds of 7 game series, and then just as it's about to get settled the league office interferes? I bet they regret it now ...I don't care how much extra they made with these two games. The LeBron-chasing-a-ring-for-Cleveland storyline could have run & run.

I think the NBA as a product flourished this year not only within the United States but beyond its borders and established a franchise in Canada that really became a competitive team

To be honest I'm not that big of a fan of the NBA. For one reason, it seems like a lot of the players take a lot of games on throughout the regular season and the only part of the season that matters is the playoffs.

The problem is the marketing. Fundamental basketball has been roadkill for years. I care about the game of basketball, not the ratings.

What the rating means is that there are more people tuning to watch basketball despite having a few salty jealous warriors fans and LeBron haters stating that they would not watch NBA again. They will be back next season. NBA must do something right to have more people watching it.

Without ratings there would be no basketball...

Basketball will eventually take over football one day. The demographics all point to it.

Never in history have we seen guys shoot 3s like Thompson and Curry. Then James leads the finals in all categories. I don't think the NBA is a watered down product. I think NFL in the future might take a hit becuase kids these days are not playing football due to fear of concussions
