Snowball I once thought this too. You need to sit down with a Prince album. Purple Rain all the way through or Sign O The Times or just about any of the first 8 or 10 he put out. 1999 very good too. I think if you do this your opinion of him will change. Easily one of the greatest musicians of all time.

This is getting over blown now.. Block parties in NY, purple shiit every where, President even speaks on his death.. This is almost bigger then Elvis and Michael Jacksons passing.. WTF is going on here? This midget wasn't as big as Elvis or MJ right? He didn't even have a star on the Hollywood strip down yet, he will now..

So initial reports say it's pills or a sudden heart attack.. Dude was fit and skinny so it was probably just another celebrity drug related death.. Same old story...

Dont overthink it. Doesn't matter if he was big as those guys. He was a legend and people loved him. If what you say about the Hollywood star is true, sure there is a good reason for it.

I'm 47. I remember his albums quite well. Sorry, don't agree.
It's just pop music and not even remotely approaching greatness
on any level. Opinions on music are different for everyone.

Yep, was never really loving on his music, little red corvette and 1999 were ok I guess..

I was listening to bands like U2, The Police, and Oingo Boingo. I was also into punk rock a bit.. Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, Dead Kennedy's, etc.. That was about the time Prince's hits came out and I was in high school...
