Sure when a no name guy with zero majors has a 4 shot lead, then yes that can be erased quick but we are talking about the best player on tour. When's the last time you see this guy or Tiger get caught from behind up 4 shots in a major championship? It doesn't happen because they don't come back to the rest of the field, they build on their lead or match it.

When the best round of the day is 71 then you know how tough the conditions are. He had a shit day and still has the lead. I would put my money on him. He has lead or had the lead for 6 straight rounds. He is as solid of a player as they come, that putt at 18 proved that. He was leaking fuel coming in then he hit the bunker at 18 and anyone knows that is a very tough up and down. He hit a pretty solid shot and still had 15 feet for par. That putt was huge, he stopped the bleeding and saw one go in. I believe he wins duke.

Betting golf, especially majors, you bet after first round because many top players will go out and shoot around 70 to 72. If you bet them before the tournament starts you will get a favorite at less than 3 times what you can get them at the end of round one. That is because all these long shots blow their load in round one shooting amazing numbers compared to what anyone expected them to do. Then the odds help you as the top players are 4 back but anyone who knows anything about the game knows the heavy underdog will shoot a 76 and fall 8 shots back but helped you get 4 times the money on a top player. Best example Tiger, the guy never exploded on day one. He rarely buried the field on day one, it was awesome
