Two really tough games tonight in the Elite 8. Villanova might be the sharp side but both games could go either way.Comment -
I'm 9-1 on Villanova games this year and the one game I lost was by a half point. Local knowledge can be huge. I know this team really well. Like I've said all year they play mistake-free basketball and really sound defense. The shooting is a bit of a mirage right now but that's what happens in basketball. Teams can get hot and be unconscious from the perimeter.
Kansas could potentially have an advantage on the boards here. Ochefu can match up with Ellis but might be forced to matchup with Lucas who is such a handful. Lucas' offensive rebound putbacks could be huge in this game. Nova gets a lot of effort rebounds and 50/50 balls but so does Kansas.
Selden vs Hart will be a great matchup. Very similar players, both around the same size. Selden has the ability to go off but all in all these guys pretty much cancel each other out.
This game could come down to Kris Jenkins. If he continues to shoot lights out like he has been then Nova will be really tough to beat. If Ellis guards him and has to play out on the perimeter then that potentially takes away a big time rebounder for KU on some possessions.
The Under could be worth a look here. Two strong defensive teams.Comment
