That sucks, news report says a driver from the other side crossed over and hit them head on.. That's just bad luck..

Minding your own business and cruising down the freeway and all of the sudden a car comes flying across and nails you head on.. That would suck.. Game over and I'm surprised the kids didn't die..


Similar experience I had a few years ago -

I had a truck tire come over from the other side of the freeway and was coming directly my way and I freaked out.. Luckily it was bouncing 30 feet in the air and bounced directly over my car just missing me as I cruised by at 65mph.. I was ducking down in my car... Nothing I could do except hope it didn't come down on my hood and windshield.. Probably would have killed me as it was coming so fast from the opposite direction at probably 100mph, it was a blur.. Big 18 wheeler truck tire with rim inflated, bouncing... Looked in the rear view and it luckily bounced off the freeway and into the mountains missing other cars..
