Great actor as well. Portrayal of Andy Warhol in Basquiat film should have won an Oscar

#114OK, you have no idea the lifestyle he led. We are talking about a pedophile, not just a bisexual Satan worshipper.
If you don't believe me, look up:
Lori Maddox who lost her virginity to him at 13
Aleister Crowley was a Satan worshipper that Bowie looked up toComment -

I liked his music too, until I found out what kind of person he was.

#127Yep, all this crap they put out today is just that crap.. I have a broad base of music that I like but today's music is complete garbage.. Started going down hill in the 2000's, and even got worse in this 2010 era... Lady Gaga and all that stuff sucks, rappers blow... Rock music is trash today.. Raggae and easy listening has gone to shiiit too in recent years... R&B today can't touch motown either..

That face got hit with the ugly stick, that's why she wears all those funky costumes, to take the focus of that mug of hers.. Marketing brilliance I'll give her that much... Talented IDK? How many instruments can she play? Can't think of one song I really like from her either...Comment -

Bowie was a rock legend and an artist. Mainly an artist.
If I was to ignore the artistic talent of anybody and everybody who stepped beyond the socially acceptable boundaries that we live in I would need to reside in a frigging monastery to try and avoid them. I probably couldn't watch any movies, T.V, enjoy any visual art , read 90% of literature ever written ,or listen to most of any music ever made.
I don't have any figures to back this up, but fukk me, I'm pretty sure a good percentage of creative artists would have something in their private lives that would be considered "socially unacceptable" to some degree or other. Having sex with a 13yo groupie is somewhere on the measure of "social unacceptance" sure, but Bowie wouldn't be the first and he surely wasn't the last 20-30yo male that took that step. Especially in the 60's and 70's in London.
His was the background music of just about everyone that grew up in the 70's and 80's. There is music that I enjoy(ed) more than his but his work was a big part of my youth and looking back over all that he did I can appreciate it even more now.
I've been listening to a few archived interviews the last day or two, and there is no way he was an evil or bad person. Anyone who wants to imply that he was, without knowing the guy and based on a few sensationalised news stories, is probably one of those people who make me wish Twitter and such was never invented - seemingly here to just stir the shit.
Dig deep enough and there is something or other to pass judgement on about every person on this planet FFS.
At least Bowie spent time in a monastery and I'm guessing he probably had as fair an understanding of good/evil, right/wrong as the average man at least.
He was an artist. A good one.
For that matter so is Lady Gaga.
Cue comment about me being a homosexual pedophile junkie satanist sympathiser by the better men amongst us.Comment -
