Cards are nice, let's see how they do when the playoffs roll around. For whatever reason they seem all too similar to the Bengals. Good defense. Great deep passing attack. Solid run game. But I feel like they can be beat.
Pats are head and shoulders above everyone when healthy. In the NFC I have no idea, wide open. This will be the year a wildcard could make it to the SB.

They are a good team as long as they can stay healthy but let's not crown them because they beat up on the Eagles. Beating an nfc east team isn't something to write home about.

Actually wasnt as bad or embarrassing as the tb or det games imo.
Eagles drove up and down the field on them. The 4th and 1 stop from the 10 yard line late in the first half was a big for ariz. Then the three straight eagles turnovers in the 2nd half obviously changed the game. Eagles were driving the field on two of them. Take away the 2 flukey fumbles and if the eagles get that 4th and 1, its actually a close game.
Obviously the cards are a much better team, but it wasnt as one sided as the score says, such as some of the other games this season (det, ect..)

agree but some huge drops by john brown for the cards though early in the game where they could have jumped out quick.

Lunc don't be fooled. Birds lost by 23 points. I know they moved the ball at times but it doesn't matter.

Quite tempting to bet GB +4 knowing Zona's secondary is depleted.

Cards are the best team in the NFL. Right now their odds to win the Superbowl is +600 and the Panthers and Patriots are at +333.

What's that have to do with this game? Also, did Cam set the world on fire Sunday or did I miss something?

Very true. 161 yards ad a TD. It was all about the Johnathan Stewart, Carolina's D early in the game, and poor decisions made by Wilson, who had been playing some great football up until that game.

He got his first win out of the way.
Zona was jittery.
He will dismantle that panthers secondary.

As usual, the Cards operate outside of the national spotlight. And now much of the public has to scramble to get a grip on this team.
The NFL is a league of adjustments. Until you fix a problem, teams are coming after it. Example. A few weeks ago the Cards sacked Aaron Rodgers nine times. So the Packers fixed it. This time the Cards couldn't get to him, and got only one sack late in the game. The recent weakness for Arizona has been the offensive line. Is there any question that both teams are studying every frame of the film of the last two games, when Seattle and the Packers were able to rush Palmer (even if the Seattle game had no meaning for the Cards)? If the Cards OL can get back to a better protection of Palmer, this could be a long day for the Panthers.
People that haven't seen much of Arizona, now decide that Palmer is a liability. I don't think so. Palmer has played exceptional games this year, throwing one TD after another, including that game where the Cards put up 39 points in Seattle. Taking nothing away from the New England experience and execution, this team has far more weapons than the Patriots, and a better defense as well. They would most likely destroy the Patriots in a Superbowl. The much bigger challenge is this Sunday, at Carolina.
Another thing to consider is that the Packers came with an unknown in the last game. The guy that caught both of the two 40+ yard passes, on 4th down, in the end. Hard to prepare for someone you don't know... The Cards don't have that problem against the Panthers. I'd be surprised if Greg Olsen has another big game. The Panthers are the biggest challenge of the season, but so far the Cards have answered every bell. The only road game they lost was a game where they were in full control at the Steelers. And why did they lose it? Because a backup QB came in that they hadn't prepared for... They could have won that game many times over, and would be unbeaten on the road, but they weren't sharp. What are the odds of them not being sharp on Sunday? The Panthers are one formidable opponent, but if they have a weakness, it is that they don't have as many weapons on offense as the Cards. So then we're back to the question if the Cards can effectively use those weapons, or if the Panthers get to Palmer before he can pick his spots.

Good analysis Thunderground. You hit on a lot of good points. Green Bay made adjustments and like lakerboy said, Arizona was jittery.
Like I said the other day, the Cardinals got their big scare and came out on the right side of it. I expect them to look great this week. Sometimes you have to play close games without your best stuff in this league. The teams who find a way to win those games are the ones who can go all the way. Now Arizona is battle-tested.
