Steve Kerr has nothing to worry about - it is his team. I didn't realize Luke Walton had that much potential as a coach. How many games has the coach won for Golden State.

Steve Kerr could tell me how much time to give to each player and when to sub them and I am probably just about as good of a coach - maybe - would have lost one?

luke proves that coaching is overrated. if you don't have the players, you can't win, period...

that's only if kerr returns though. if he doesn't return for the whole year and golden state breaks the record, luke should win coach of the year.

Probably but he was raised around game and do think he will be a great coach given the chance

True. But u have to play the right player combinations at right time to win. Kerr was responsible for this, and probably spoke with Luke about it

NBA Coaching is very overrated and most of the coaches are interchangeable......unless the coach is great aka Pop,Riley, Phil Jackson etc

I doubt the warriors are on a 14 game win streak because of their temp coach.

Walton was probably the best passer in NBA history, but could not move or shoot so did not help him much.

Luke Walton was Phil Jackson's assistant for a couple years I thought?? Zen Master passing it down.

Coaching is about 50% motivation/ player management, 40% substitution patterns, and 10% play calling. I give him credit for having his players motivated to the tune of 14-0. He's not had to make any difficult decisions though...

Kerr made a difficult decision - pretty obvious to a bright spark like me! - last year in having dr.green & h.barnes start over veterans d.lee/ iguodala and the rest is history.

Most coaches are interchangeable including the so-called greats.

What smitch said. you could put in a guy like jjgold to coach them and theyd still be undefeated.

Rick Carlisle a dark horse if Dallas keeps this up somewhat. One of the best coaches in the league for years but rarely gets recognition for it, maybe this year? I think he did win COY with Indy a while ago.

Walton is not eligible so I think Brad Stevens wins or maybe Carlisle but I dont see how they can keep winning

Luke Walton has been named NBA Coach of the Month despite technically having no victories, as all 19 of the Warriors' wins are credited to Steve Kerr.
