Two ace pitchers. Public perception is big on Arrieta but he lacks playoff experience. Cole is no slouch either but he's hittable and both teams can play small ball and grind out runs. If one of these aces folds then we'll see this game become wide open.

If you are fading Arrieta and the Cubs' BP is not as good as the Pirates, Pirates TT over 2.5 +105 might be the play you'd want.

We will see how tonight's game pans out, but fangraphs see tonight's matchup as one of the best in history.

It might be the best elimination game pitching matchup in playoff history.

If you like pitching match ups, which usually wind up being 3 hours of boring baseball. Just my opinion.

Cubs BP basically irrelevant to that bet. If Arrieta is rolling and doesn't give up more than 2 runs, he ain't coming out of the game. He will throw however many pitches is necessary. So if Buccos go O2.5 they get it off Arrieta, or they don't get it at all.

                      That seems really good.

Get this, Arrieta hasn't allowed a first inning run -- earned or unearned -- since May 29 vs. KC. That's 24 starts ago. 24 straight first innings. Unreal.

Yea, anything can give though just takes one good swing from one of the first three hitting positions from each team. I am more worried about Cole giving one up, but I like my chances being only a few strike outs, pop ups, and ground outs away from cashing it.

Saw this on another thread, but since the 2010 mlb postseason there have been 10 games when the total was 6 or less. The over has hit 8 out of those 10 times, and when it was 5.5 it's gone over 4-0. Good luck, gentlemen.
