Boise is averaging 30 ppg on offense and giving up 16 ppg. Virginia averages 26 ppg and gives up 32 ppg. So the two teams average 28 ppg and give up an average of 24 ppg. That adds up to 52 ppg, and this guy wants us to wager under 49. Now you know why they have $2.50 specials at McD's. If not, guys like him would starve.

Betting over the long haul, or even short term with math like this is a sure way to tap city.

I realize there are as many ways to handicap as there are handicappers but with this thinking even if you do get some winning plays, the markets will likely eventually eat you alive.

My far too early to be useful total for this one is 44.8. For the late game I'm at 35.5. Still need a couple of weeks before I'll use these, but I may play the late one for grins.
