the new NON PRO rule here is a slap in the face to the SBR PROS who help build, support give back and promote strongly more PRO entries. all those useful and generous free play points given to the endless SBR non pros that will enter and ghost in are useless.

The entire reason I went pro years ago was to get some of the winnings for BTP. The reason I renewed a couple years ago was for the same reason. Without the need to be pro to win cash, I don't really see any non-pros going pro.

I like this idea but how do you pick the representative? Hard to have a lead up contest like the WSOP.

that would be the tricky part because obviously you'd want football picks to determine who gets to be the representative.

I would do everything a year out. So whoever won the contest this year, lets say, would be the representative in next year's super contest.

Advantage to that would be it would give whomever the representative was plenty of time to coordinate with SBR about when they have to be in vegas to enter the team together. If they can't lock down travel plans by a certain date, SBR would still have plenty of time to roll it down to the next person.

They could make the contest PRO only(if they still want to increase #s) and since it would be running concurrent with BTP all the newbies will see the incentive. Let them enter for free and have to be pro by week 9 again.

Haven't read the whole thread, but why not a separate BTP for non pros? Make them pay a few hundred points to enter and divy those points up weekly. A 500 point entry fee and 200 non pros is 100,000 points to spread around.

it is called a percentage. You just have a minimum amt to qualify, say mikejamm has enough points to win it with 75 picks. Why would he take a chance on losing points for more picks. Also sometimes people don't realize when the contest starts. I wish you good luck. It isn't you that the pros are pissed at.
