Depends on the drainage of the field. Mets announcers said on TV that it would take all night to drain it since they were having trouble even getting the tarp on.

Used to work in the FO for one of these teams.

That being said, these drain systems are unreal, especially in the outfield. Only issue for this game at this point is the damage in the infield. Still a reasonable shot that the infield could be too wet to resume, but there's going to be 3 hours to work with because they're adamant about finishing out this one.

I didn't see the tarp miscue there so I don't know how bad it looks

i just checked my weather app on my I-Phone and it says 80% of thunderstorms until 10pm and then 30% from 10-11pm and then back at midnight its saying 50% chance of thunderstorms.

Apparently there is some sort of Hurricane off the coast of Maine heading toward New York City but it will slow down by the time it reaches land.
