we outsourced our manufacturing base and changed our economy from a high-wage manufacturing economy to a low-wage service economy. these "jobs" pay starvation wages.

i'll give you an example of how ****** up it is to a be a worker in the united states: i take a job on a drilling rig in wyoming. it's brutally dangerous work. the pay is reasonable at about 27/hr to start. sounds ok right? wrong! you work 7 12hr days then have 7 off. the one first week works out to 84 hours. you'd figure you were entitled to 44 hours overtime, right? wrong! they bribed the penetrating politicians to say that the second 40 hrs goes towards the second week when you are at home. penetrating wage-theft!

think about that: they keep the rig running 24/7/365. the workers work 7 straight 12 hour shifts and only get 4 hours overtime; thus penetrating me out of well over a thousand a month. now do the math: 4 shifts, 5 or 6 guys a shift, $1200/month, 14.4k/worker/year, equals an extra 345k/year - per rig - that goes into some rich pricks pocket.

penetrating canada now has the world's richest middle-class; a distinction we used to own - until we gave everything to these rich dicks.
