I saw him play today and he's a natural. Just needs more strength, but he will be a star. Reminded me of Mutombo with a better offensive game. Phil Jackson deserves an apology. Guy is a winner. Grant is also a stud. Can't wait for the season!

Everyone in nba knew he was best player in draftt but issue is that he is a longterm project. From what I have seen he is a bullseye shooter. I believe he is going too be a star.

Laberboy: He's better than Okafor and more polished offensively than Towns, but like you said, there's a bit of a wait involved and fans always want to win now. The kid is well-spoken and a true winner. GREAT PICK!

Completely Agree JJ, but us knick fans need a few "positives" at this point. I think they can get 35-38 wins, maybe an 8th seed

I see something special with his defense. His length alone is a hindrance. He has a great offensive touch also. The only issue is putting on some weight. He's only 19 and this kid speaks fluent English. His attitude is GREAT. I don't get a bust feeling here. Rik Smits at worst, but I think much better.

No. 35 wins will not even make the playoffs.
Bulls
Cavs
Bucks
Raps
Wizards
Pacers
Hawks
Those teams will all have around 42 wins oor more.
The last 2 spots will be 36-42

Dunno why Knick fans were mad. They actually think they're going to win in the next few years. No chance. Good pick for the future.
The PG, I don't know about that. There are no PGs in the Triangle, only Lead Guards.

The Knicks aren't the ones that need worry about their pick. THe Lakers on the other hand... I remember on draft night someone - fran fraschilla i think - talking about a poll, stating Russell was the most likely bust. Watching him play I can see why.

The man known as 3-6-Latvia often has pretty quiet goals, talking about wanting to help the team win and just do his job -- he's been trained well-- but on Friday, he did reveal one statistical goal he wants to hit this season. From the New York Daily News:
But he did reveal a somewhat unique aspiration as it pertains to statistics: a quadruple-double.
"It's been a while (since somebody did it)," Porzingis said following Friday's practice. "It's not impossible. That's the goal right there."
Those teams will all have around 42 wins oor more.

The New York Knicks may be looking to make some noise in the final hours leading up to Thursday’s NBA draft. The franchise has reportedly explored the trade market for Latvian sensation Kristaps Porzingis, hoping to land a top-four selection in this year’s draft to potentially select Josh Jackson out of Kansas.

Phil's ego is bruised over the exit meeting blowoff. Needs to put the team before himself. A good owner would step in and have them make up.

If the Celtics don't contact Phil and make a deal then Danny Ainge should be fired. They have a boatload of picks, a team that's ready to win now that needs a great rebounder, and the 3rd pick in the draft. Ainge always tries too hard to "win" a trade. There's a future superstar out there on the market, use those picks and get your man! Give him THREE out of FOUR 1st rounders, #3 this year, the Philly/LA/Sac pick, Boston's own 1st with the Nets '18 pick. Phil's pick which of the three he wants. It's a HUGE mistake to trade Porzingis, take advantage NOW!
