No he doesn't deserve to be the highest paid. Football is a game of high interdependence and he has benefitted greatly from being the QB on a very, very good team. Some perspective is definitely in order here (IMO).

Keep it real - Cutler, Romo, Dalton, Kaep or any number of other QBs make that throw and not a dam one of you are blaming the coach or praising the DB, it goes down as a choke...which is exactly what is was. Coaches count on players to execute, and Wilson is a great player but he choked it, end of story.

Numbers don't really tell the story with Wilson. He's the most difficult qb in the league to sum up. His numbers are good but he keeps so many plays alive and does so many little things that don't show up on the stat sheet that it's tough to say.

Wilson is no doubt a top 5-7 QB. Only QBs I'd for sure take over him right now considering age would be Rodgers and Big Ben. Probably would take Cam too but I'm not going to jump all over his bandwagon because of one great season.

He's 100% elite and I'll go as far as saying top 3 in this league right now. If I was able to pick my QB for one year I'm only taking Rodgers and Brady over him. He's extremely accurate, extends plays, high IQ, and most importantly a winner. Don't be fooled by that "elite Defense" because without Wilson they would have lost a lot of those big games.

Apparently he and his agent think he should be.

I think he's pretty good, but I'm not sure he's that good. He is greatly assisted by a great defense, and a great running game. I'm not sure his talents would translate as effectively elsewhere.

Remember what happened when they left it up to his arm in the superbowl for 1 yard? IT's one play, but it's a summary of his game IMO.
If Seattle ever needs him to win games with his arm, they will be a losing franchise again.
He's just in the perfect system right now.
