I just quickly did some backtracking: The home teams' record up-to-date (including today) on July 4th is 69-41 since 2007 (2008 records unavailable). The last time the 4th of July was on a Saturday (2009) home teams were 12-3.

Probably. I don't have the time to go check other dates. Maybe home teams are 75-35 on June 15th.... who knows? I do think they're is something with a major holiday on a Saturday for a home team. Big crowds, the pagentry, umpires being a little more generous with calls for the home team, etc....
