I wouldn't think so, but who knows.
As much background checking as they do nowadays, it would be pretty funny if this was an oversight.

Kupchak claimed today on Dan Patrick's show that they did not know about the tweet prior to drafting him. Set aside the fact that they could have likely gotten him at 34, that's a brutal fukk up of a draft pick. I hope the kid can play.

That makes sense. I'm not sure how they would've known. I was a little surprised by the pick, too, but I don't claim to be a NBA scout either. I did hear the guy has Crohn's disease. I know a girl afflicted with that, I'm hoping his is a much milder case. I believe in Mitch. It'll be interesting to see if they can sign a big guy, today I'm hearing they think DeAndre Jordan is an option.

So someone checked every Nance tweet back to 2012 once he was drafted? So sad.

Interesting backstory, Nance SR and Bryant SR faced off 4 times as starters in the 82-83 season (HOU-PHO).
So many 2nd generation NBA guys now days, I wonder if there's a little bit of a fraternity there.
