What will eventually happen is someone will fumble or drop their baby while trying to catch, get a ball or the ball will hit the baby for all to see. Then it won't seem so cute and ballparks will be forced to implement new policies.

There is some relevance. Point is you don't try to catch a foul ball when your safety or your child's safety could be jeopardized. Always know your surroundings.

There are so many things that can go wrong in the baby picture. He could drop the baby, he could squeeze too hard and cause permanent damage, some other fan could jump from behind him to get the ball and hit the baby, the first baseman can hit the baby with his glove, the ball could ricochet, etc..
