Mattingly has to be bottom 4 coaches in baseball. I'm sure it was because of an innings limit but he overreacted to Kershaw covering first base for the second out.

Bullpen is their Achilles with the exception of Jansen. Garcia looked unhittable the first month but he has been susceptible to the long ball as we saw tonight. Luckily for Dodger backers Turner atoned for the mistake with a game tying single in the 8th and they eventually went on to win it.

They probably need someone else but Baez and Rodriguez are both out at the moment and while I wouldn't call either lights out they're both hard to score off. Howells having himself a season so far, have to expect him to fall back a bit though same with Nicasio.

Yimi Garcia is pretty good I think it's a mental thing, leaves his fastball right in a hitters wheelhouse far to often. As soon as he gets behind in counts you know it's coming straight down the middle it looks like a beachball.

Jansen is nasty to close games.

Generally I am someone who defends the decisions made by managers although they seem odd sometimes.

But the one manager I would never defend is Bum Madingly. This guy has absolutely no clue. Give this franchise a proven and half-intelligent GM and they win over 100 games easily. A lot of losses are coming because Madingly doesn't know how to use the bullpen or when to pull a pitcher.

Yeah I agree, but I think a coach should somehow control the temper of his players. But this Madingly guy can't do anything else than stand around and look and look and look and then make a bad decision.
