Doesn't say he was a rapist. Sounds like he was being blackmailed by a former student he had sex with. Hush money. Not condoning this fruit cake's behavior, but calling him a rapist is premature.
As far as his legal troubles, the structuring charges will go away. Few cases get prosecuted alone on structuring. It's more of an investigative asset the state uses against RICO type cases to determine if money is being laundered. That is the spirit of the law. You make multiple withdrawals and don't want to let the Fed Gov't know you are taking out bulk cash from your account or putting bulk cash into your account. His rep is ruined, he will prob face perjury charges for lying on an affidavit. They could go after him harder for structuring because of his name and former status, but I doubt he does hard time for it in federal prison. The guy who blackmailed him will probably do more time. It's funny that the hardcore conservative Republicans that are against gay marriage are trying to solicit BJ's in the bathrooms. I doubt banging your students qualifies as "American Values."
