Swiss investigators have seized data from soccer governing body FIFA’s headquarters as part of a criminal probe into the controversial 2010 vote that delivered the next two World Cups to Russia and Qatar.
The raid on the soccer body’s hilltop office in Zurich followed dawn arrests at a five-star hotel where FIFA’s ruling executive was based ahead of President Sepp Blatter’s re-election bid on Friday. The arrests were at the instruction of the U.S. Department of Justice which is probing corruption in soccer dating back 20 years.
“The collection of relevant bank documents had already been ordered beforehand at various financial institutes in Switzerland,” the Swiss Attorney General’s office said in a statement on its website. “The files seized today and the collected bank documents will serve criminal proceedings both in Switzerland and abroad.” .....

This should had happened 2 years ago...we all knew about this corruption scandals in FIFA. This guy Jack Warner has been well know for corruption here in CONCACAF for over 20 years. - As usual, Europe sits there and does nothing and waits for the US to take initiative and deal with the consequences, good or bad. For this alone, USA should get it in 2022. UK can have it in 2018, they can choose which year for all I care, I do believe they have a certain "right" to have it there by now. 100X better than having it in Russia. I love Europe, but their reputation preceded themselves here. If you make us come in and do the dirty work, you're not allowed to bi+ch about the outcome later on like you always do, okay? Deal?

Didn't have the disposable income for a trip like that back then for SA. It's a pretty big undertaking. Brazil I was close, but had two people back out on me, which killed it.

Actually, at that time of the year it will be quite pleasant. Temperatures will be in their 70s-90s maximum. Quite fine to play even during the day.
