Oh my god! I saw him running to first base to get an out and it was like watching a hippo run. Why does he need all that weight to pitch? And it's not muscle for sure.

#8New York Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia made history in his return to the mound Saturday evening, as he became the all-time leader in strikeouts amongst American League left-handed pitchers. Sabathia’s 2,680th career strikeout in the American League came in the second inning, as he struck out Boston Red Sox designated hitter Chris Young.
Sabathia, who recorded 128 strikeouts as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers during the 2008 season after being acquired from the Cleveland Indians, added another strikeout to his career tally in the third inning.
Outside of the time he spent with the Brewers, Sabathia, who began his major league career with the Indians in 2001, has been exclusively in the American League. Sabathia agreed to a contract with the Yankees in the winter of 2008, with the franchise winning its 27th and most recent World Series title the following season. Saturday’s start marked Sabathia’s return from the disabled list, with the southpaw missing time due to inflammation in his right knee.
CC Sabathia currently sits sixth on the Yankees’ all-time strikeout list with 1,416, with Lefty Gomez in fifth place with 1,468. The franchise leader in career strikeouts is another lefty, Andy Pettitte, who racked up 2,020 strikeouts in a Yankee uniform.
Pettitte is the only pitcher in franchise history to have at least 2,000 strikeouts in a Yankee uniform.
With regards to the career strikeouts list regardless of league (American or National), Sabathia entered Saturday’s game 20th on the list. Just seven behind another former Yankee in Mike Mussina, Sabathia could move into 19th as soon as tonight.Comment -

#14Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia took a shot at Red Sox infielder Eduardo Nunez for leading off Thursday night's series opener with a bunt that led to the pitcher making a throwing error.
A few minutes later, after hearing what Sabathia had to say, Red Sox in-studio television analyst Jim Rice fired back on NESN by calling Sabathia fat.
Rice's mini tirade included this gem of a quote:
"Bunting is part of the game. You try to get on base any way you can. If you tell (Sabathia) to lose some of that chicken and that donut and that burger weight, (then) maybe his leg will be OK that he can field that baseball. That's just stupid."
Sabathia, who is listed at 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, laughed off the insults from Rice, a Hall of Fame slugger who played his entire career with the Red Sox.
"I don't have any response for that," Sabathia said at his locker Friday before the Yankees took batting practice. "It's just funny. He's right. I'm fat. He won that.Comment -

#21If that picture isn't photo shopped he should make a come back and pitch again.. He'll still have that fat man arm strength and probably do some damage..
Some club could probably squeeze a year or two out of him in the majors even in relief before his arm gives out and he needs Tommy John Surgery..

#27What CC did to get the Brewers into the playoffs that one year was insane. Pitching complete games on 3 days rest one after another was just rediculous....Crazy good athlete better than the credit he received. Could have been D1 in football or basketball if he wantedComment
