No, just realized I'm as happy as I've ever been with regard to sports. It's great to see the whole field as a potential bet or fade, with no heart issues. You have to lose your heart to be in this war. And it is a war. Those penetrating bookies and casinos just fleece everyone.

And I'm not going to spend my life cheering because the Cards might win a WS again. Been there and done that twice. Doesn't mean shit in the end. i had a friend who was a minor league ball player and we were still friends when he was in MLB and when he was making 1 million a year and he would give me free tickets , free jerseys etc we would talk on the phone a few times a year and gradually as he started to make more money the less i heard from him

then he signed an 8 million a year contract for about 3 years and then from that point on i have not heard from him since... he has retired from MLB but my point is the more money you make the more friends you have and the more money a person makes it changes them... alot of times it makes them forget where the came from.

I learned that lesson long ago in the equity and bond markets...don't get married to your plays or picks.

Fact is, the markets prey on the emotions of people and, particularly, the bettors. This weakness in the bettors is just one of the many reasons some of us continue to win while so many continue to falter.
