You don't know what star player might sit because of the "sniffles" till two hours before the game starts. You can tell from these line moves something is up before it's announced.

Resting strategy clearly indicates that nba players can't play all the games. League needs to make changes soon.

Exactly. The Blake Griffin injury was a joke. He left the hospital Saturday day and they don't announce he's having surgery until an hour and a half before Sunday's game against OKC. They knew when he left the hospital he was having surgery.

I got screwed with lebron yesterday

Problem is sometimes you cant get word until right before tip off

At the very least they should make team release their lineups 3 hours before game like in MLB.

You need to implement those tendencies into your handicapping and then openers become by far the best way to get down.

Yes, this is a joke. LBJ & Cousins is an example yesterday.

Nobody knows how the line will move when you actually make your bet until the tip off

It's Why if you add up everybody's plays the only guys that hold their own are the guys to catch the right line at the right time and beat the closer

Cousins was at least listed as an injury...

But with irving already out, who would have expected lebron to sit for rest?

True, but when I wagered early in the day he was listed as day to day, and then later in the afternoon, boom, he is out and line went up 2 points at least. All I'm saying is, if I knew he was OUT, I would have laid off that wager. The NFL doesn't work like this. LOL. LBJ, you'd think this guy was 40 years old. Puts up 42, season high, and then takes a day off, nice life. LOL. BOL tonight.

Too many games for the season. College plays 30 games with at least 10 games with cupcakes and NBA plays 82 games. The human body will break down. Then you have 8 weeks of playoffs. Why do you need 8 weeks of playoffs after playing 82 games?

I got caught on the Cavs too. I couldn't believe the line moved so much on Irving not playing at 1pm. I found out 4 hours later (the hard way) why the line moved as much as it did.

Jeff Teague, DeMarre Carroll, Al Horford and Pero Antic will not play against the Heat on Saturday.
It's the second time the Hawks have rested their starters this season and they should be ready for next week. Get all of these guys out of your lineup. Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore, Kyle Korver, Paul Millsap and Elton Brand will start.

Blue , I have been chirping about this for years. Not neccessarily from a betting standpoint, but from a product standpoint. They will never cut back the games, simply because of revenue.
154 MLB, 60 NBA/NHL and 14/3 preseason NFL would make the games soooo much F`kin better.

garbage time in the nba - only take the teams on the cusp of making the playoffs.
the ones that really need it. otherwise its NBE not NBA.
sometimes you can take home teams on weekends
young players wanna jig it up for the crowd.

probably not, but they are on a b2b so there is an element of trepidation.

I'm waiting for the shoe to drop when it comes to the Spurs tonight so I can get pissed. I see the line inching up.

Congress should pass new law against this cunning nba: if you rest your player, you must issue a full refund to each ticket holder for that specific game AND REST THE HELL AWAY YOU LAZY BASTARDS.

I needed just one loss in the last 7 games for them to go under 50 wins. They won the last 7 games and then lost in 7 in the first round to the mavericks. Just a total clusterfuck. Might have fared better had they not gone all out to screw me out of money. Also that was the same season tmac hit like 15 points in the last 23 seconds to steal a win from the spurs during a meaningless midseason game. The rockets and gambling gods screwed me backwards and forwards on that one. Now guys miss games for rest, pms, funerals, births, and power to sit.
