Medically cleared means that a doctor said your knee looks good enough to play.

Mentally and physically cleared is a totally different thing.

ExamPle- you get a cold, take medicine and feel better... but still have a nagging cough and youre not ready to go run at the gym yet.

Another example- someone has surgery on... tonsils (For sake of example). Doc sends you home and clears you to go back to normal.. you arent gonna be out there slamming steaks, because you arent ready for that.

Those are very mild examples. Now magnify that by 100x. a doc clears you for your knee.... doesnt mean you are ready to go out and sprint and cut on that Knee. And especially doesnt mean that youre gonna go out and be an asset to your teaM. most of the time you may be a bigger hindrance than an assEt. having tore my ACL, MCL, and meniscus damage (all in one fukking injury) and was "cleared" by my doctor to start playing soccer again i know how bullshit it is to be cleared. I was in no way ready to go out and compete, cut, sprint, jump, And produce at a decent level. Couldnt imagine being an NBA player expected to compete with THE BEST athletes in the world...

Thats all im saying. I dont understand how anyone can think "medically cleared" is some sort of absolute.

#1- no chance they clear him to play if the injury was not healed. so if i was making 15 million a year and knew there was no risk to further worsen the injury then yes i would play. so would kobe, shaq, charles barkley, jordan, etc

#2 - even rose at 75% is still better than any pg they have on the roster
