That was the worst play call in the history of the NFL
Situation and time.
No play will ever come close.
HOW DO YOU TAKE THE BALL OUT OF LYNCH'S HANDS THERE?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Upsetting way to lose because that Seahawks receiver catching the ball with his legs then hands deserved to get the catch of the game. Pete Carroll is an idiot.

Carrol is ultimately responsible unless Wilson changed play on field

There's no explanation. Sometimes the obvious call is, well, the obvious call. They could have run the ball 3 times with all that time and 2 TO's. Plus, if they run and fall short, then NE probably has to take TO. A run on 2nd down was literally a no brainer.
Belicheck got lucky because he should have called a TO immediately after that 1st down play to the 1.

WTF, I have 3 bets, one on Seattle win, two half time bet, Seattle and over 24.5. With Seattle TD , instead of interception, I will win all 3 and call it a perfect day. Now the stupidest call made me lose all 3 bets... WTF. coach should get fired. penetrating the whole offensive staffs should get fired. Let Lynch run the ball, how the penetrating hard can it be? 99% win now a sure loss, penetrate penetrate penetrate!!

whenever someone puts "of all time" in a sentence I cringe and ask the person to replace the phrase with "that I have ever seen"...
but not this time...trying to throw a TD pass from the half-yard line dumb enough in general,...but considering the SB on the line...hands down THE ABSOLUTE DUMBEST SINGLE PLAY-CALL EVER!!!

they probably tried to mislead the pats
the pats were expecting that play so they went with a different one, it just didnt go their way
like at the end of the first half when the smart play was a field goal, they went for the td and the gamble went their way
you win some you lose some

Nothing wrong with the call; the defense was looking for Lynch. If Wilson throws the ball in the right place (low, where only the WR can catch it) they either score or have Lynch twice more from one yard out.

Why didn't pats call a timeout when Lynch ran to the one yard line? He bet it all on his defense and was bailed out by the crappiest of play calls

It's 2nd and goal at the 1
Any elementary-age child playing Madden in that situation would know to run Marshawn 3 times. LOL
Congratulations Pats

Well then I could accept a play action rollout. But not the play they ran. No way. Just can't do it. Even if it had worked I'd have thought it stupid.

Like the avatar I am a die hard Spurs fan btw!
Yep why the hell did Wilson throw that ball?
He still had 2 more downs. Billy don't be a hero.
I had New England so I am just questioning why he threw that ball in that crowded of an area?

Exactly why you throw; because everybody (including the D) knows you're going to run.

Yes, by far worst call ever. I was thinking how dumb belichick was to not be calling a time out, or even let them score on first down so brady would have a min to get into FG range. Absolutely stupefied that they threw the ball, just wow

Watched this game (of course its the fukin SB) but didnt make a bet for first time in like idk how many years....
In watching the bets you either got raped or got luckier than shit....I liked the first half under 23 1st half and with 3 mins left in half it was 7-0....last 3 mins 3 fuckin TDS to lose (if I had bet), all 1st half bets decided in that last 30 sec drive. All the bets on the 2nd half (and game) were decided by that ridicutarded play to end the game...it aint easy being a sports gambler boys thats why I gave it a break....shit gets old fast unless ur on a hot run and all the right sides cuz ur a lucky ass bitch
