Virginia - Best College Bball team?

i don't know, two. defense wins championships as they say. i wondered a few weeks ago about a kentucky/virginia matchup, how that would go. discipline meets athleticism. i can't stomach watching a virginia game, so i can't actually tell you how athletic of a team they are. i would imagine they are more athletic than given credit because you can't just completely shut down teams left and right on discipline alone. i would love to see them go far in the tourney though just to see how their style holds up.

i agree, north carolina will crumble dealing with virginia. louisville will be interesting. duke is gay.

i know it's easy to say now because they're 1 and 2, but i hope at some point we see a virginia/ky matchup. something has to get in their way, and the most suffocating defense is the only thing i can think of. duke can't beat them. gonzaga, get the fukk out of here. every year is supposed to be their year. louisville, no, we saw that. etc etc etc.

Tony Bennett is a better X's and O's coach than Calipari, no question.

Virginia plays three guards that are 6'6". Their big man Tobey is 6'11" 255. So size wise, they can hang with Kentucky.

They are both undefeated.

They both have top 10 SOS.

They are both 7-0 against top 50 RPI, 11-0 against top 100.

Virginia has #1 scoring defense, UK has #2.

Virginia has a better FG%, 3PT%, and ADJ%.

This is the most lopsided college basketball season i have ever seen.

Kentucky is in a class of their own. Kentucky has about 8 1st round draft picks.

Their second team is better than most teams 1st squads. Its a really down year for college basketball talent wise and this might be Kentuckys best basketball team since Callipari has arrived.

I guarantee Kentucky wins the national championship.

I would say Anderson is for sure. 6'6" SG who is shooting 3s 50%+ at a high volume, can drive the ball and defend as well. Brogdon and Gill, perhaps.

That is a very interesting question. I guess I would take the UVa/UK combo. Both will likely be 1 seeds with easier paths to the champ game.

Especially considering I already have good futures on Gonzaga, Wichita st, Kansas, MSU, and likely adding IU and Miami. Only other squads that could have a chance are Zona, Wiscy, Duke, Texas. Think squads with good guard combos and a 7footer.

With the scares Kentuxky has gotten so far this year there is no doubt someone is gonna pick them off and my guess would be before the Elite 8....the field is gold if that's what it really is

They're very good. Are they even better than last years team that had Joe Harris and Aquil Mitchell? Problem was last year they ran into a really good sparty team in the tournament.

This is my favorite team, love them since beginning of last year, they can be beat but they are so good and well coached, play the right way. Fundamental unselfish basketball at its best.

Virginia and Gonzaga are as good as they've ever been this year. On any given night....it's not like they'd have to beat Kentucky in a best-of series.
