the tackles are absurdly impressive athletes. The finesse to handle speed rushers, the strength to run block a guy like Hiloti Ngnata (spelling?).

even the guards are solid athletes (despite having terrible bodies). Have you ever tried running down a DB on screen as a 6'4" 330lb man? Those DB's are fast, quick, elusive, these big fcking loads (the good ones anyway) will just swallow these guys up.

in terms of the best athletes in the NFL, I'd say these freak edge pass rushers have a small edge over WR's.

if you're going to make this argument, at least make a better one, say, Casey Hampton wasn't an athlete, he's a big fat load who's responsible for stuffing the A gaps. you'd still sound so dumb, because stuffing the A gap requires a big fat load of questionable althetic ability and a favorite to die in his 30's of a heart attack. But none the less, it's an important part of defensive football, he's making millions of dollars to play a kids game, thus he's an athlete.
