It must be hard for a guy like Fisher to see players quit after 9 games or so

              Isn't Fisher's contract guaranteed for 5 years at 5 million a year?

i said all along Anthony was mistake.. why give a max contract to a guy over 30
and ONLY ONCE past 2nd Round.

he's garbage. another Kobe, except less talented. Less psychotic also.

HUGE error.. cannot trade $125M contract, Knicks doomed

Melo dont give a shit. All he care about is his money.. fukking ball hogger. You cant convinced a hogger to play team work, when they try to its all awkward for them.. melo never play defense and all takes jump shots, rarely takes the lane. Knicks should have just let him go and start the entire roster from scratch.

why is JR Smith still on an NBA team?

the occasional game where he may be hot (very very few) does not outweigh his awful decision making, terrible shots, and bad attitude

You don't sign a player to a max deal then try to trade him that season... Did anyone in this thread actually watch the game? Of course not.

Truth be told...this has nothing to do with Anthony...He has been trying to change his game...his shot attempts are indeed down from last year..but as has always been the case, he is surrounded by mediocre talent...While Laker fans complain about Kobe needing help and a lack of talent...Melo has truly been surrounded by some of the worst headcases in the league over the years....This is a guy that played with Kenyon Martin, JR Smith and older stubborn Iverson in the same season..and this roster is far worse than that....These guys just don't have it mentally and basketball wise to implement the triangle...i think they will get better but not before another wasted season...its a pure learning curve from here on out...

People are insane to think Melo doesn't merit a max contract. Under this cap he's a max contract if people like Gordon Hayward are making max money. The cap boosts the salary of medium level talents while legit top tier stars like Lebron/Durant/Melo are underpaid relative to what they bring in to their teams.

Knicks suck this year because Bargnani and STAT are taking up so much of their cap space. They can't improve their roster because they have no money for anyone. I mean they flirted with starting Quincy Acy at PF a few times when they guy couldn't come off the bench in Toronto on a 15 player roster.

They also traded away almost all their draft picks so they can't even put that on the table for another few years. How do you expect a team to perform when they are retarded enough two offseasons ago trading 2016 1st rounder + Steve Novak for Bargnani.

They are not as bad as they appear to be though. They will improve this year simply because Calderon will come back from injury soon. They have been using a backup PG to run their "triangle" offense. Triangle offense needs a good PG to run it and even if Calderon is a shitty defender he's an excellent passer and adept 3pt shooter. Ironically enough Bargs should help their spacing at PF as well and it'll be a miracle if they can get anything from the italian doofus.

Fukkhead did the same thing to the Mavs. Left the team when he realised they probably wouldn't make the playoffs to be "closer to his family" then signed with OKC a few weeks later.

I hated him at the time but I've gotten over it now. No hard feelings. Guy clearly is a bit of a POS though.

this was always a throwaway season for the knicks, i dont know why phil didnt let melo walk and completely start over in 2015-2016. way to early to judge fisher as a coach.
