Today is the first game I am not betting the Royals in the playoffs. And I am actually going to do something I never do, and that's take the other side of a streak I have been riding on a team.

The Royals hot bats could bail him out of course, but Chen could be the guy who stops the bleeding for Balt today and shut them down.
I understand up 2-0 this is your chance to get a guy in there who isn't as solid, but coming off the DL, not pitching in a month, and already being a scrub to begin with, this game could get ugly quick for them.
Vargas should be starting this game today.
Why drain your bullpen early using Guthrie when you could just use a guy who's already solid and can give you 6 or 7 innings if he's on?
I gotta think even if Guthrie miraculously performs well today, he's gonna have a max of 4-5 innings and be on a small pitch count.
Let's not forget, Guthrie has probably given up more home runs than any pitcher in MLB in the last 5 years if I had to guess, definitely at the top of that list.
