Drove to VEGAS area Yesterday, arriving at M about 30 minutes prior to Dodgers game. Make my way to the sportsbook and put 7400 on Dodgers moneyline. No sooner do I get situated does my friend call asking me to lay $150 for him on the game. The line had changed at the M so I decide to drive to South Point to make his bet.
As I get to South Point I start feeling even more confident about Dodgers that I throw another 1700 on them for myself. Instead of driving back to the M, I settle in at South Point and do what I normally do while any of my games is on, play some blackjack and drink. As game is moving I'm getting turnt, and as we take the 2-0 lead I'm about gone. I had taken a real beating at Blackjack but it didn't matter as Dodgers looked like gold at this point.....then the 7th hits, Adams 3 run hr and my heart sinks. I held some hope but in the end we didn't do it. There didn't just go 9100, but there went the end of the season for a team I love the most, a team that I thought really had a chance this year.
Normally when I drive to Vegas I bet on a game and come right back home, if I even stay at all but given my current state I was in no position to drive. So throwing caution to the wind I head outside grab a taxi and have him take me to the Chase bank where I withdrawal 5500. At this point I'm turnt, and really just numb as well. Losing 9100 was bad enough but the harder part was grasping that the team I love the most, had so much faith in this year was done. So as I head back in to South Point, I do what I probably should have done with the initial 9100....lay 5500 on Giants moneyline.
As I resumed my spot playing poker, drinking watching the game I realized my teams biggest rival was going to cash for me when my own team couldn't.
I guess I say all th is to say it's probably not great to bet on the team you love. I believe Dodgers was a solid play but the cards were not in their favor and many thing did not fall into place.
everything worked out okay in the end. Got the room comped at South Point. Ate alot and am home now resting

Rough trip, but Giants saved it from being a disaster. I've seen your tickets. Should make a vid, best way to shut the haters up. Except crusty. crusty will say you photoshopped your body and the ticket and the casino.
