#18Books obviously love Ole Miss
They could get away with Bama -7 easily...Just look at all of the posts in this thread before the line came out

#23Ole Miss and State fans are not like an Auburn, LSU or Bama fan base. Culture of losing and high hopes being dashed as the whipping boys persist in both campuses. All it will take is for one big Bama play and the 60,500 in Oxford will go quiet and begin exiting early if its not answered. Seriously, for years both Ole Miss and State fans just write off seasons and look the the Egg Bowl and who will make the Liberty/Independence Bowls for those short trips to watch and be happy. They are not use to this type of magnitude of stage and it will show again Saturday.
Year after Eli left Ole Miss they had a 'great QB' who led them to a top 5 or 10 ranking until Bama ruined them them....season went downhill from there....last season Rebels were hyped...went into Tuscaloosa talking trash....lost 25-0 and got depressed and started a 3 game skid. They are not built for this stage...yet.
Will be plenty of Crimson in the stands as well...logistically, tons of Bama fans live in the area and majority of Ole Miss fans just stay on the grove to watch on the Tvs...great tailgating...but they sell tickets in a heartbeat so its not going to be brain bustingly loud by any stretch to throw off Alabama's game.Comment -

This SEC West is really something else this season.....I feel like every team in the West could compete for the East title this year
Best division from top to bottom I've ever seen in any year, any conferenceComment -

#30Spot on....Can't wait to see if Ole Miss and State can handle the pressure of being more than a Cinderella against the big boys......They're both for real talent wise and State already beat LSU in death valley which is about as big a stage as it gets

Miss St finally got over the hump in Death Valley but you know the SEC the past few seasons, Ole Miss and State have both been so close in big games like Arkansas vs Aggies last weekend....they need to learn how to close out those games...once they learn how to win...they'll be good but for now they are the 'scare you' teams. They will hang with most anyone but falter to the depths and experience of the larger programs who dont panic and have that little extra.Comment -

#32Bama -6.5
This appears to be an easy winner for Alabama.
only reason ole piss is ranked so high is to hype up tv ratings
this reminds me of when espn's dumb ass had Miami Hurricanes ranked in to the top 10 last year simply bc they had a national tv game with FSU.
needless to say FSU beat them by like 50 points.
ole miss is overrated every year.Comment -
