What's up, boys, it's almost that time! Is anyone planning to tail DFL's plays this year? I'm still disappointed/surprised that he decided so early that he needed to go contrary. If memory serves, he wasn't at all far from the top of the heap when he decided he couldn't catch the leaders. Anyway, that's in the past now...

He was way way up among the leaders again for most of the year, until he decided to purposely pick opposite what he thought the leaders were all picking because he thought that was his best shot to win it all. (I think he jumped the gun, but doesn't change how legit he was most of the year.) I'm thinking of tailing all his plays.

Ya I wanted to follow his plays I remember that part but I forgot how bad it actually degenerated in here. I think I may have even blown a gasket myself on the 8 page or so. I just tracked his plays in my notebook after I got the supercontest link and stop reading. Looking forward to football this year, good luck Capy

I don't know his record, but I know that he won the whole SuperContest two seasons ago and that last year through the majority of the season he was killing it again, like in the top 20 out of the 1,500 or whatever, but then he panicked early and changed his strategy and started going contrary, thinking it was his only shot to get past the 15 or so people ahead of him and win the contest. Still wonder how he'd have done if he just kept to his own usual methods of picking.Comment -

I never said he didn't trust his abilities or method or lost faith in it. He was trying to WIN a contest, meaning that he felt it required a specific strategy change toward the end of the season to pass the other contenders and finish as the overall winner. Since the upper tier of this contest at the end is obviously loaded with sharps, wise guys, etc. who are going to be making damn sure they're on the right side, David figured that they would likely all end up on the same teams and continue doing well to the finish line. So he figured His best chance to PASS them and ultimately win the thing was to go opposite the popular sharp opinions and if things fell right move past them all. As I said, I think he did this prematurely, as he was still close enough to the top to just stick to going with his favorite plays.Comment -

I feel like I remember his Twitter feed saying how he was going to have to start going contrary, and me thinking Huh, why the fukk would he do that now when he's in decent position?
