I grew up watching the Dallas Cowboys and a die hard fan. Loved watching Emmitt, Irvin and Troy Aikman lead the cowboys down the field for the game winner. How I long for the cowboys of old to return. But I need some insight on how long will it be before the Cowboys return to those dominant glory days?

Serious Answer: There is absolutely no reason to think they are any closer to being a "dominant dynasty" than any other team in the NFL, and they're arguably quite a bit further away than most.
If you're a Cowboys fan, thinking in terms of dynasty is ridiculous. Your best bet is to hope that one of these years they have a good regular season, pray they get hot in January, and steal a one-shot Super Bowl victory.Comment -

As most have said Jerry is the problem...he got his superbowls and with that he got this stigma of being a great franchise that has never left, and that's all he really needs is "the idea of being great" as delusional as it sounds, it works for him. Just look at their fans that are delusional to the fact that they have been mediocre for over a decade.
At this point he is just satisfied with selling that stigma as long as they are bringing in the dollars, which nobody can say they don't as they are still the most valuable franchise in the league.Comment -
