He is now Cleveland's top choice and the two sides will talk contract very soon. If agreement is reached, he will become the first former Euroleague coach ever to become an NBA head coach.

Interesting, no clue who he is but will he be able to command respect in that locker room? So much talent and another number 1 pick on the way, so I hope he can get them to work together as a team.

Irving and Waiters in the back court with maybe Wiggins and a combination Thompson, Zeller, Varejao. Bennett too, if he can do anything.

So many top picks seemingly wasted. Zeller or Bennett need to step up and then they have a solid core to move forward with.

Irving/Waiters/Wiggins is great with two bigs to hit the glass and defend. At the least, they can make the playoffs.

Excellent choice by the Cavs. Big props to him for beating Real Madrid in this year's Euroleague Final with Maccabi. He also has bronze medal from London and bronze from 2011 Eurobasket. He also beat Spain with Russia in 2007 Eurobasket Final. Since European basketball is different from the NBA (40 minutes instead of 48, slower pace in general etc.), I think he could adapt to it.

Time will tell. Beating Real Madrid and Spain isn't the same as beating Indiana, Chicago, Miami, etc. Maybe you're right and he'll turn out to be a good coach, but it's way to early to say Cleveland made an excellent choice imo.
