A bunch of no names now play poker as the so called names basically got buried and just make money off endorsements

I see all the all time bracelet winners and most were attained years ago before poker got into the public mainstream

Now any dick and harry can win as long as you have cash to keep entering tourneys

There is a good chance you could be a horse in jj's stable. He's a major backer in Vegas. Runs "The Leather Crew." They show up to the WSOP in assless chaps and gimp masks. Yes, poker is dead. That's precisely why, according to Bravo Poker Live, every single table is in use at the Bellagio, Aria, Venetian, MGM Grand, and Orleans right now (and it's still only dayshift as I'm posting this). Overall attendance is up in WSOP tourneys because poker is dead. Nobody plays poker anymore, that's why attendance is up in WPT events. Planet Hollywood has converted their entire 2nd floor level into poker tournament space for the summer, because, apparently, nobody wants to play those tournaments.

The reason the name pros from pre-2003 won a lot of tournaments was specifically because poker was less popular and the fields were smaller. And oh yeah, a name pro has won the only high buy-in event completed so far, and the high buy-in event in progress has 6 remaining players, 5 of whom are very well known in the poker community. Not that name-pro success has anything to do with the number of people actually buying into events and playing cash games, but your statements about poker tv pros don't even have a relationship with reality.

There are few people in life who are more annoying than a person who is both obnoxious and wrong. If you insist on being obnoxious at least have the decency to know what you're talking about.

Never got too big of a stack but had a couple frustrating missed triple ups one where I folded AQ pre and both of the other guys had AK but a Q came on the river. If I dont lay that down also probably chip up on the bubble instead of limp to the money. Then on day two a tilted guy shoves A4 UTG if he folds I shove my QJ and get a triple up suckout vs both tt and jj. Yeh I plan on playing on the 29th also

Poker is for math junkies now, they come and go meaning playing and going bust. Almost every pro poker player goes bust. Its funny how you see them with the nice houses and cars but that's after a lucky win or two, look them up in 5 years ort so there is no house anymore.

Most old poker pros look like they're on deaths doorstep. Sitting down for 10 hours at a time eating casino food and smoking 5 packs of cigs a day will do that to you and make you look busto
